Boliden and Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S.) will implement autonomous transport solutions at Boliden’s mines, starting with the Garpenberg mine in 2023.

V.A.S. will provide an Autonomous Transport Solution for rock-fill transportation over four kilometers with five trucks.

This is part of a broader Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance technology for underground electrification and autonomous transport.
